It might just be that I’ve been really enjoying the low-res opening credits of TV show Californication for the past few nights, but I love these images by Juergen Teller for fashion label Marc Jacobs. Who cares about the clothes, feel the love!
The guy in the pic is Harmony Korine, which gives the campaign an extra layer of referential-ness (I made that word up) for me. Korine is a very off-beat director, writer and all-round interesting person. The only film of his I’ve seen is Gummo, which was a mix of polaroid, super8 and film.
And now I think I’ll go and lay a flower out for my polaroid camera to mourn the death of polaroid film and all those wonderful instant moments it’s given us.
