We’ve been watching this building in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, for a while. It looks like hollow concrete cubes stacked on top of each other and the framework was built a few years ago and then they just stopped construction… a victim of the ebbing and flowing tides of real estate investment. That entire part of JB seems to have been built on the “if you build it they will come” principle, except mostly they didn’t. Over NY the building was shrouded in a green net, which I guess means they’re about to either start work on it again or pull it down.
